Software Implementation Project Manager

As a Software Implementation Project Manager at VisualVault, you’ll oversee one to three projects, ensuring the delivery of engagements within agreed customer scope, timescales, budget, and quality metrics. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, you'll provide thought leadership and lead communication efforts to ensure the best possible system implementation. You'll advise on VisualVault’s delivery methodology and complement it with the client's approach, demonstrating a thorough understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management of successful client software implementation/integration projects, including administration of contractual deliverables and timelines.
  • Performing project control activities such as creating and maintaining detailed project plans, financial health reports, and coordinating staffing activities.
  • Establishing and managing customer expectations, changes, or gaps in delivery.
  • Ensuring timely and budgeted project completion.
  • Communicating project plan development, status, and changes to the team.
  • Planning, decision making, and resourcing projects with clients and internal teams.
  • Managing internal reporting and analysis for financial profitability across multiple and/or complex projects.
  • Enforcing change management best practices including the use of RAID log and change control processes.
  • Serve as a reliable advisor to customers throughout the project, taking charge of communication channels and offering insightful leadership to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Proactively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the implementation process.
  • Implement and manage a multi-tiered governance model to streamline decision-making processes and ensure effective project oversight.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of project management experience working with external customers.
  • 12+ years of experience with enterprise software implementations.
  • Manage customer interactions with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Experience in leading and coaching a team through project completion stages.
  • Proven success managing multiple, complex, simultaneous projects, including managing scope, time, cost, and quality of delivery.
  • Thorough knowledge of software development process and cycle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with business applications, Jira, MS Project, MS Office, etc.
  • Experience working with Agile Methodology.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with State or Federal Government project implementations.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, ACP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with BPM, DPA, ECM, and Workflow Automation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Please note that this position is an onsite/hybrid role, requiring candidates to be located in Tempe, AZ, and work from our corporate headquarters a minimum of 3 times per week. Candidates must be able to commute to the corporate office located in Tempe, AZ as needed. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
